Eva Reed also known as Eva Styles, a seasoned 10+ year hairstylist, makeup artist and educator began her career in the salon, working and training with some of the best brands in the beauty industry such as Paul Mitchell, AMIKA, Martino Cartier, RUSK, Babyliss, Lancome, Jay Mauel Beauty and MAC Cosmetics just to name a few. Her passion, skill and expertise comes from studying all aspects of the beauty industry hence her title EVA STYLES! The training and preparation, though long and hard has presented opportunities that one can only dream of.
Eva began working in 2010 as a hairstylist. Through training and mentorship she became a top stylist in the salon, working runway shows like NYFW, being published in Hype Hair, Sophisticated Black Hair and Essence Magazines. Eva eventually opened her own salon studio by 2013. During this period of growth, Eva realized she loved the process of makeup and the growing market for it. She immediately began studying, shadowing and test shooting. This led to working with beauty brands throughout the industry as well as an introduction to production. Eva worked in her salon and freelanced in production until 2015 before going full time.
She began working low and no budget films for the experience and exposure. The decision was ludicrous to most but Eva was committed. That commitment lead to some of the best opportunities working at Paris Fashion Week, Essence Festival, Key Hairstylist for multiple tv shows and films like Tales From the Hood 2., Home Shopping Network, Deal or No Deal, TBN Christmas Specials with Tye Tribbett and many more. However, it’s her profound understanding of hair/makeup trends and techniques catering to all ethnicities that make her an asset to the beauty industry! Eva’s dedication to her craft and dreams, no matter the winding roads lead to helping develop the artist you see today. An artist skilled in her craft of hair, makeup and beauty consulting.
